This time of year it is easy to get drawn into the hustle and bustle of the big box stores who promise you that you are saving BIG money as long as you get there at 6am and wait in line with hundreds of new friends, only to find out the big screen TV they promised to sell you for next to nothing is out of stock three minutes after the store opened. Hmm. Doesn't leave you in the most jolly of moods.
This season I invite you to slow down and support the little guys. Your neighbor who makes T-shirts to pay off medical bills, your kid's teacher who sells makeup in her off time to pay for night school to get her Master's Degree, your local hardware store who's manager is trying to pay for his son's college education.
